Rotary Club of New Orleans Riverbend Honors the 431 Exchange

We’re grateful to share that the Rotary Club of New Orleans – Riverbend Chapter recently awarded a generous donation to support the 431 Exchange Scholarship Fund. At their November 18 meeting, four of our scholars—Torrance Taylor, Pamela Manuel, Archelle Taylor, and Sabrina Heavey—were invited to speak about their journeys and the impact of educational access on their lives.
Their reflections were heartfelt, courageous, and deeply aligned with the legacy of the Adult Education Center, where Dr. Alice Geoffray brought adult learners and business leaders into conversation almost sixty years ago.
We are also thankful for the warm welcome extended to our documentary director Philip Braun, and for board member Stephen Geoffray, who accepted the award on our behalf.
Moments like this affirm the continuing power of connection, opportunity, and community support. We are honored to stand alongside partners who believe in expanding educational access for adult learners.
