Introducing the 431 Exchange’s Newest 14 Scholarship Winners

The 431 Exchange is honored to introduce its Spring 2026 cohort of 14 scholarship winners—scholars whose lives reflect not a single path, but a shared commitment to growth, purpose, and possibility. They include a future nurse completing her LPN at LSU Shreveport, a first-generation Tulane student studying cell and molecular biology on the path to medicine, a young engineer at Xavier University of Louisiana, an aspiring clinical psychologist at Dillard, and a returning adult scholar pairing information technology with a doctorate in education. Others are advancing in fields as varied as environmental science, automotive technology, marketing, and music performance—each shaped by personal histories of perseverance, care-giving, reinvention, and resolve.

What unites them is not circumstance, but direction—and a deep connection to family and community that both grounds their journeys and gives them purpose. Many are balancing work, family responsibilities, or the weight of past challenges, yet each has chosen to move forward—to translate education into service, and opportunity into impact. In this, they stand in quiet continuity with the legacy of the Adult Education Center: individuals who stepped into classrooms not simply to learn, but to transform the arc of their lives and, in doing so, the communities around them.

Over the coming month, we will introduce each of these scholars in greater detail. For now, we celebrate them together—as a group, as a signal of what is possible, and as a reminder that when determination meets access, something larger begins to take shape.
