Why Now . . . Why Us?

Dr. Alice Geoffray had enormous success with the Adult Education Center’s 431 graduates but, as the school came to a close in 1972, Alice knew the need for career educational programs would continue to be of critical value to those ready to exchange a life of poverty for one of prosperity.

Four decades later, Jeanne Geoffray and Jeff Geoffray, Alice’s youngest daughter and son, knew, Even Now, career education is the key to opening doors to improve one’s self and move forward. As the legacy of their mother’s wisdom, they founded the 431 Exchange, a nonprofit, with the sole purpose of giving scholarships to adults in Louisiana, ages 18-80. Whether scholarship applicants devote themselves to a 4-year college, career development or trade school program, the 431 Exchange welcomes applications.

Why Us?  The number of applications the 431 Exchange is receiving continues to increase.  As have the number of amazingly deserving applicants. That is why, this year, the 431 Exchange is earnestly asking for your help.  With your help, the 431 Exchange can give a hand-up to adults working hard to achieve emotional, physical, and financial prosperity.

Please join us by helping fuel careers.  Thank you.
