"Make My Vote Count" is a short film by members the 431 Exchange community about a mother's fight to vote in the Jim Crow South.
It’s in the running for a $5,000 prize from the “Spark The Vote” Social Media & Film Challenge.
“Make My Vote Count” is written and narrated by Connie Payton, a member of our scholarship committee and graduate of Adult Education Center class of 1970. It’s directed by her great-niece, Daryanna Barrett, a Scholarship Winner who also won the award for Student Film of the Year at Loyola and recently graduated in May.
