"Exchange Ado" in The New Orleans Advocate
Sunday, 29 October 2023
At the 431 Exchange Event held in the home of Jeanie and Peter Coleman, his late father, James J. Coleman Sr., was honored because of his championship that kept the above career training open when closure threatened. The program trained ''mostly African American women for the corporate workplace.'' Special features of the evening included the meeting of the $100,000 fundraising goal to support scholarships provided through the 431 Exchange. The scholarship program is established in honor (and memory) of Dr. Alice R. Geoffray for whom a high school campus in Treme is named.
