431 Exchange Co-Founder Jeff Geoffray Hits the Radio Waves
One of Louisiana’s most popular podcasts interviews him about our scholarship program and more—don’t miss it!
The 431 Exchange segment begins at 27:45 and continues to 34:15
The 431 Exchange hit the media spotlight again recently when our co-founder, Jeff Geoffray, appeared on iHeartRadio’s popular podcast "The Founders Show!" The show is a look at Louisiana politics with Chaplain Hy McEnery and Christopher Tidmore. McEnery is the Director of New Orleans’ noted LAMB Ministries, which focuses on assisting inner city residents. Tidmore is the longtime Political Editor of Louisiana Weekly.
Jeff was asked to come on to discuss the Adult Education Center, The 431 Exchange and our scholarship program. Hosts McEnery and Tidmore were quick to point out the impact of the Adult Education Center and how its efforts from 1965–1972 “launched the African American middle class of New Orleans.”
They also praised our scholarship program for its efforts to fill the gap in academic funding, noting, for example, that even crucial state scholarships like Louisiana’s TOPs program pay for tuition but not fees. Our scholarships “make a big difference in people’s lives” the hosts told listeners.
